Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. You provide gender, date of birth, how you'd rate your health, whether you use tobacco, the amount of coverage you want, and the term length. Six pieces of information is all the quote engine needs. Your name, address, and detailed health history are only requested if you go ahead with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They are what carriers quote for the health class you chose. Once you apply and undergo underwriting, the carrier might keep your class, move you to a better one, or place you in a lower class. These are estimates only, not an offer of insurance or a guarantee of any premium.

What happens when I click Apply?

You enter your name, and your chosen quote becomes the foundation for an application that opens in the carriers' secure system. Pause and come back if you need to. All signing happens electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agent (License 0B75129), oversees your application.

Will I need a medical exam?

The answer varies by carrier, amount, and your health profile. Some carriers with "Immediate" in their label can approve eligible applicants without an exam. Each quote on this site tells you the exam status for that carrier.

Is a longer term better?

Choose a term matching the years your dependents need income: a mortgage balance, kids in the house, a business debt. Longer terms have higher monthly costs but protect you against rate increases further out. The tool here lets you contrast 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options at once.

Does this site sell my information?

No. Quotes work without collecting any contact information. We don't buy or sell visitor information, and we track site use without cookies. Check the privacy page for the complete picture of what gets collected and who sees it.
